Stop by and visit Bill Gallagher on your way to or from Tucson.
Better than THE THING by a long shot!
I will meet you at exit #49 off I-10 in New Mexico, just say when. # 49 is a nice quiet place right between Lordsburg and Deming to stretch the legs and pick up some rare but developing Hachita stock, as attached. Or swing through Hachita itself and prearrange a visit by phone or email. Write for directions, prices, and quantity discounts. This is some real special stone.
PHONE: 505 436 2250
EMAIL: luxefaire@gmail.com -- BEST WAY TO CONTACT ME -- and please put HACHITA ROX in the subject.
I am the only supplier of these rough stones below:
NM Yellow Marble ---- (The large Indian and Owl carving) available in clean and approximate 12" by 24" x 24" pieces, and smaller. $2.00 per pound cash and carry. Reserve large orders ahead of time.

Tiger King ---- (Golden orange brown dendritic and perfect for carving. Hardness 4.5 to 5.0). $4.00 pound. Clean. Pieces average 3-4 pounds. I have also made beads and cabs from this with good effects.

White Tiger Gem Orthoclase ---- (Black on White). Prices vary. Starts at $10 per pound.

Vari-colored + SNOW WHITE Gem Orthoclase ---- Prices vary. Yellow, Red, Pink, White. Stuff glows. 6.0 - 7.0 hardness, consistent colors and not cracky at all. Seam material.
I also have 20 pounds of tumble cleaned Fire Agate from Deer Creek and Mexico @ $1.00 each while they last, all with fire.
Write to me, we can arrange it, and I will show up.
Also, why not write to me about any specialty needs? I have access to many shop inventories and local rock yards. I can find what you need from the Southwests Gemstones, and I also actively collect stock from estate sources when I can. I know of some good deals on used equipment too. Let me know and it will be great to hear from you!
As of this time (12-15-06) I have a good solid connexion for Hachita Mine Run Turq also.
Thanks for checking this out, here is a photo presentation on the small vein of White Tiger I discovered and is already defunct. A lot of people liked this report:
